Straightening teeth is only part of the job. An orthodontist also corrects how your upper and lower teeth meet, which protects them for years to come.
Invisalign is a modern and discreet alternative to fixed braces that uses a series of clear aligners to gently move your teeth into the desired position. Each set of aligners is custom-made to fit comfortably over your teeth and can be removed for eating, brushing, or social occasions. This makes Invisalign one of the most popular options for adults and teens seeking a subtle and flexible treatment.
Fixed braces remain one of the most effective orthodontic solutions for correcting a wide variety of dental issues. These include overcrowding, spacing, and misaligned bites. A set of fixed braces consists of brackets that are attached to each tooth, which are then connected by a wire that gradually shifts the teeth into alignment.
Early treatment focuses on addressing developing dental and jaw issues in younger children (typically between the ages of 7 and 11). By identifying and correcting problems early – whether it’s a crossbite, crowding, or jaw growth discrepancies, we can reduce the need for more complex treatments later in life while creating space for adult teeth to emerge properly.

It’s never too late to straighten your teeth. Many of our patients are adults who never had treatment, or whose teeth have moved since braces as a child.

Ready to take control of your oral health? Whether it’s your first visit or a routine cleaning, regular dental checkups make all the difference. Our expert team is here to help you maintain a strong, confident smile.
Adults are now one of the largest groups we treat. Modern braces and aligners are discreet, and treatment can be planned around a full working week.
Straight teeth are easier to clean, which lowers the risk of decay and gum disease. Correcting your bite can also reduce uneven wear, chipping and strain on the jaw joints. Many adults also tell us they simply feel more confident smiling at work and in photos.
Invisalign clear aligners are almost invisible and come out to eat. Lingual braces are fixed behind the teeth, so nobody sees them. Ceramic fixed braces use tooth-coloured brackets. Your orthodontist will tell you which option will actually get the result you want, not just which looks best.
Simple cases can take around six months. More complex bite correction can take up to two years. Adult bone is denser than a teenager's, so we plan tooth movement carefully and check progress at every visit. If timing matters, ask us about accelerated orthodontics.
Crowns, fillings or a missing tooth rarely rule out treatment. If your gums need attention first, our hygienists can get them healthy before your braces go on, all under one roof.

Plenty of places in London offer braces and aligners. These are the questions worth asking before you commit, and how we answer them.
Look for the word Specialist on the GDC register. Here, a Specialist Orthodontist plans and oversees every case.
A clinic that only offers aligners may steer you towards them. We offer Invisalign, fixed, lingual and functional options.
You should get a written quote before you begin. Our fees are published online and monthly finance is available.
Retainers keep teeth straight for the long term. Every patient leaves with a retention plan and ongoing aftercare.
We’re open until 8pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
We’re a short walk from Victoria station, with Underground, rail and bus links from across London.
A relaxed consultation where you get answers, a clear plan and no pressure to start on the day.
Modern orthodontic treatment starts with accurate records. We combine digital scans with a specialist’s judgement, so your plan is precise and realistic.
A quick scan of your teeth replaces most putty impressions and gives us an accurate 3D model to plan from.
We compare your progress against the plan at each visit and adjust it if needed.
Every orthodontic treatment plan is reviewed by our Specialist Orthodontist, not left to software alone.
With Invisalign, you can see a digital preview of how your teeth are planned to move before treatment begins.

Great experience with Gustavo and the rest of the team. I was nervous initially but Gustavo laid out a very clear and personalised plan based on his findings and experience. Rather than just fixing a single problem, he outlined a plan that both gave options to fix individual aspects, but also a complete plan to future proof against further trouble and to set me up for the long term. As someone that’s been nervous of visiting the dentist for many years, I’d highly recommend these guys, having been excellent to be treated by!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. The main difference between Invisalign and traditional braces lies in how they straighten your teeth.
Invisalign uses a series of clear and removable aligners that are custom-made to gradually move your teeth to the desired position. Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible when worn and can be taken out when eating, drinking, or attending a special occasion. This makes them a convenient and discreet option.
Braces, on the other hand, use a system of fixed brackets and wires that are attached to your teeth. They can be made from metal or clear ceramic materials. While braces are more visible compared to Invisalign, they are highly effective in treating more complex dental issues such as significant crowding, biting problems, and jaw alignment.
An orthodontic treatment can take anywhere from six months to two years (or more), depending on the type of treatment you choose and the complexity of your case.
For example, minor adjustments with Invisalign typically take anywhere from 6 to 12 months while more complex cases involving significant crowding or bite corrections can take upwards of 18 to 24 months.
Absolutely. Although most people have their teeth straightened during their teenage years and early 20s, it’s not uncommon for adults who want a straighter and healthier smile to seek orthodontic treatment later in life.
The most popular orthodontic treatment among adults is Invisalign. The reason for that is because Invisalign aligners are discreet, comfortable, and can fit easily into a busy lifestyle. The clear and removable aligners are virtually invisible when worn, which makes them very appealing to people who want to straighten their teeth without attracting too much attention.
No, you don’t need to get a referral from your dentist to come into our clinic. To book an orthodontic consultation with us, please visit our contact page and choose your preferred method of contact.
Yes, the NHS does cover some orthodontic treatments in London, however, patients usually need to meet a strict eligibility criteria before they are put on a waiting list, which is currently around 24 months (it can be even longer in high-demand areas).
At Boston Orthodontics, we don’t work with the NHS. Instead, we provide private orthodontic treatments to patients who either don’t qualify for an orthodontic treatment through the NHS, the NHS doesn’t cover the treatment they need, or they simply don’t want to wait several years to address their orthodontic issues.
